Flu Shots

There are NO walk in flu shots this year. It is recommended all children age 6 months and older receive a flu vaccine.  Flu vaccines will be available during scheduled well appointments and scheduled in office clinics (by appointment).  All flu vaccine appointments will be in office.  Siblings may be added to scheduled well appointments.

The Influenza Vaccine Information Sheet must be reviewed prior to your appointment.

  • Vaccine will be available for patients over 6 months of age who are up to date on well visits and have been seen in the office in the last 15 months.
  • Patients MUST have updated insurance information on file.
  • Pre-visit registration must be completed prior to your appointment. You will receive this via text or email.
  • Each patient must be registered separately to receive the flu vaccine.
  • Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • If a patient is not cooperative we reserve the right to deny providing the influenza vaccine and will reschedule the appointment.

Well Child Visits

To keep your children healthy, it is important to bring them in for regular checkups. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends regular well visits during the first three years of life (1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, and 30 months), followed by annual well visits starting at age 3 years. Click Here for helpful information regarding well visits and information on your child. Please bring shot records with you to each appointment. We recommend that you check with your health insurance provider to determine your well visit coverage prior to scheduling an appointment. Please call at your earliest convenience so you may choose the date that best fits your needs. We recommend calling 6 months in advance as spots fill quickly.

School / Sports Physicals

Leawood Pediatrics recommends annual physicals for every child. During this visit your sports/school/camp forms can be completed at no additional charge. Please complete any patient portion of your forms prior to your appointment. There is a $10 charge for form completion requested outside of the appointment date.

Please remember Kansas requires all "sports" physicals to be performed after May 1 for the following years sports activities. Because of this requirement, summer is an extremely busy time of year. School and sports physicals should be scheduled as early as possible with your child's pediatrician.

A copy of both the Kansas and Missouri pre-participation physical forms and the Boy Scout annual health form can be found below. Please complete the patient portion of the appropriate form prior to your appointment.
