Dr. Mary Nagy, MD, FAAP

After 42 fulfilling years of serving children and families I am writing to announce my retirement from the practice of Pediatrics, effective 12/31/2025.  The decision has not been made lightly, as caring for your children has been the most rewarding and joyful experience of my career.

When I first started in this field, I never could have imagined the extraordinary journey it would take me on.  Over the years I have witnessed countless milestones- first words, first steps and the many triumphs and challenges of growing up.  I've shared in the hopes, fears and dreams of parents, and I've watched my young patients grow into remarkable young adults.  I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of your lives.

I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to care for such wonderful children and to work alongside a dedicated and compassionate team of professionals.  Your trust and support throughout the years have meant everything to me.  It has truly been an honor to serve you, and I will always carry the fond memories of our time together.  

As I transition into retirement, I am happy to announce that Leawood Pediatrics will continue to provide high quality care for your children.  The practice will be in capable hands, and I have full confidence in our team’s ability to support your family's healthcare needs moving forward.  If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please don't hesitate to reach out to the office at 913-825-3627.  

Please know that while I am retiring from practice, my admiration for your families and the children I've cared for over the years will never fade.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey.  It has been the privilege of a lifetime.
